Ode to Mondays
This morning I woke up feeling down
Didn't want to end my trip from out-of-town.
"I don't want to go to school today
In my bed I want to sleep and stay."
Finally I rolled out of bed with a scowl
I washed my face and dried with a towel.
First class was slow and oh-so dumb
Sitting that still made my bum go numb
Next class was better, I saw all my girls
They put a smile on my face as we talked about our thrills
...Of the weekend. :-)
History ended, we went to eat
On the way many friends I did meet.
I felt so popular as I said "hello"
To the dozens of people that I know.
I checked my mail and actually got some!
Halloween candy from my aunt. very fun.
Lunch is over, off to class!
I learned how to kick your a**
Self defense is the best
My partner and I can beat the rest.
So Mondays don't have to be that bad
Mine was made better by the friends I had.
They all lifted my spirits and made me smile
For their company I would walk a mile.
