A huge mistake:

I have an apology to make to one of my good friends, Kara. She is one of the most beautiful people I know and I really hurt her today. Apparantly, when I wrote that Friday Five about fashion trends, she thought I was talking about her. She has gorgeous Nicole Kidman red hair that she straightens and pretty eyes that she outlines with black eyeliner. It makes me really sad that she thought I was writing about her, and as I reread my post, I can see why she did. I wish I could explain myself more than that, but I don't know if it will help at this time. Kara, I love you, girl! You mean a lot to me and Legett would not be as much fun if you didn't live down the hall from me. I hope you can find room in your heart to forgive me, I can't stand losing your friendship.

Ooo, this is a good Friday Five:

1. What food do you like that most people hate?
Sushi! Just ask Michele. I took her out so she could try sushi for the first time. From the looks on her face, I was so afraid she was going to be sick!

2. What food do you hate that most people love?
breakfast cereal with milk in it. I like it dry. I can't stand how it gets soggy. And, even if it doesn't, I can't stand the fact thinking that it might.

3. What famous person, whom many people may find attractive, is most unappealing to you?
Josh Harnett. Looks like a puppy dog, but not in a good way... I don't like his beady little eyes.

4. What famous person, whom many people may find unappealing, do you find
attractive?
For some reason, a lot of guys I know don't really think Jennifer Lopez is attractive. I find her absolutely gorgeous!

5. What popular trend baffles you?
Stick straight, ironed flat hair. It just drags you down and makes you look older than you are! Give your hair some body, and don't ruin the body that it already has by frying it to death every morning. Be proud of your curls, you blessed women who have them! Also, I don't like the black eyeliner look. It is gross, makes your eyes look like they are buried deep inside your head and like you are peering out of little caves. Not attractive, especially on women who have small eyes or pale skin. Lighter colors will make your eyes stand out more, and it will look more natural. Trust me, make-up should be minimal. Ask any guy. They don't like the complete made-up look. Too fake. Like ironed flat hair. >stepping off my soap box now<

On guys: Why do boys always cut their hair so short? This is the time of their life where their hair looks the best and they only show about 1/2 inch of it! When you are 50 and bald, you will be wishing you had long flowing hair that you were capable of in your 20s. Take advantage of those shiny locks before it is too late. Plus, it saves you money on hair cuts. :-) Not that you should never cut your hair, just let it grow out a few inches. The shaggy look is so sexy. ;-)

Lemme just say that I love my neighbors. And, I love my sorority sista's. And, I love my friends in all my classes. >sigh< Tonight I watched Legally Blonde with my fellow Legett ladies... and David. He is Linsay's super cute boyfriend. Awww... They are way adorable! It is kinda sickening. haha.

So, I definitely got up at 6am this morning for the sake of doughnuts. This week is I-week for our associate class in Phi Beta Chi. Our super fun lock-in is this Friday. We woke up early this morning to go get doughnuts at 6:30am. All the regulars, truckers and the like, were surprised to see 30 girls in their pjs take over the place. I saw one guy walk up to the shop, take one look inside, said, "Hell no," and walked out! I must admit that we were pretty intimidating. I mean, with no make-up on or anything...

AHHH! I had a CRAZY emarassing moment and no one to share it with, so here it is for all the world to see:

First: the background info

This Saturday my sorority, Phi Beta Chi, is having a mixer with BCA (Brotherhood of Christian Aggies). So, I ate lunch today with 5 of my PBX sisters. We noticed at a table next to us some guys wearing BCA shirts and I said, "Hey, let's introduce ourselves to them!" So, after lunch, we did. I recognized one of the guys who was in my RA class, his name is Brad and he is really cute. He recognized me too, but didn't remember my name so I reminded him.

Secondly: the embarrasing moment

I ate dinner at Sbisa with some of my girlfriends. As I walked out of the dining center, I saw Brad walking up to it with 2 of his friends. I said, "Hi, Brad!" He said, "Hi, Jaclyn!" Then, I gave him a thumbs up and said, "Good job!" He gave me a really confused look, shrugged his shoulders and said, "O...k..." It was too late for me to say, "No, good job, you remembered my name! That is what I meant." So, as we parted, I heard him laughing with his friends probably wondering why I said, "Good job!" which, according to them, was a random comment. AHH! So embarrased...

Yay! My management test is over! Thank the Lord and sing his praise! Tell everyone what he has done! Now I am off to read 202 pages of history for Friday. Yipes!

Blind dates curtosy of Elvis

I won something! A few weeks ago they had an Elvis night at our dining hall, Sbisa. I entered a raffle with a friend and I actually won a prize! I won a free dinner and a movie. Now all I need is a date. Hmmm.... Any takers? I'll probably end up just taking one of my girlfriends. We'll see.

So, we finally won a football game! Yippee! 45-33 with Kansas University. Fun stuff. I was at the top of 3rd deck, about a mile away from the field. My goodness, we were high up! I recognized a guy standing in front of us named Daniel. I tapped him on the shoulder and asked, "Hey, your name is Daniel, right?" "Umm... yeah." "Well, do you remember me? From fish camp?" "Umm... no." Oh well. After all his friends left at 1/2 time, he kind of hung out and talked with my groupies. Fun stuff.

After the game we all decided to go to my friend's friend's house. First we went to HEB to pick up some food to cook on the grill! Matt did the cooking. The sausage was good, but the hamburgers were nasty! While Matt was cooking them he said, "Guys, come out and look at this quick! You girls, stay inside." That is something you do not want to hear when a guy is grilling burgers. From inside we could hear them giggling and shouting, "OHHHHHH!!!!! Look at that!" Ummm.... Disturbing. When they were finished, I was the brave one who took a bite of the burger. It was not good at all! Weird texture and it tasted like butter. Too much like butter. I had to take another bite of sausage to get the butter taste out! Yucky.

Well, I need to study for my mgmt test. Fun stuff.
